Ukrainian Championship 2016
Recently the championship of the Ukraine was played in Poltava. The tournament was won by Yuriy Anikeev (19 points), followed by Artem Ivanov (17 points) and Vasyl Pikiniar (14 points). In many games Anikeev managed to gain a positional advantage early in the game, and then patiently keep the pressure on until the opponent collapsed during the late middle game.

The game has entered the decisive phase. The white advantage is still marginal, but black has some tough decisions to make.
